for those w/o office 2007 and do not wish to purchase the software, please download the compability pack; http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=941b3470-3ae9-4aee-8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=en .
after the pack is installed, you should be able to view, edit and save office 2007 file types with your office 2003.
